I played StarCraft: Brood War since I knew myself and still love the game, the Protoss in particular being my favorite race. I always found them alluring, psychic powers and all. ::daydreaming::
Thing is, it never went further than just playing the game. Now that I've recently got the SC mojo creeping around my head (again) and having certain revelations (seeing fanfiction and artwork), it became a full-fledged fandom. ...somewhat.
So, to contribute to this 'renaissance' in my long-dormant 'fan-ism' for the game, a portrait of Tassadar, one of the heroes in the Protoss Campaign of the original SC.
Used a white airbrush tool on a black background in Corel Photo-Paint 12. Comments are very much welcome!

yeah, the Protoss eyes are all red if i'm right, but at the end of Starcraft, when he sacrificed himself to destroy the overmind, he overcharged himself with dark templar energies, making his eyes turn blue.

From what I've seen Zeratul's eyes are green, Tassadar has blue eyes, Artanis has sky blue eyes, Aldaris has grey blue eyes.
You can see Zeratul's eyes in the new concept in the book Queen of Blades and StarCraft II. Their eye color may change due to their mood as they communicate (as seen in the games) or Blizzard just changed the eye colors to give them their own eye color.
Remember these are the people that chopped off a high templar's nerve chords. ><
