So everyone, guess his beast mode. XD

My new Beast Wars OC, Riptide. I blame him on a National Geographic special I watched. It made me want an octopus OC.

Riptide's stasis pod was discovered on the ocean floor by Tarantulas and Quickstrike while uncovering the Nemisis. An attempt by Tarantulas to turn the mech inside into a Predacon loyal to him caused the pod to malfunction, releasing a beast warrior that while technically Maximal, remembers nothing of his heritage and knows only madness and hunger.

Riptide chooses to stay in his beast mode most often, lurking at the bottom of the ocean as an Octopus Cyanea. Riptide's beast mode can camouflage extremely well, meaning he can disguise himself amongst the rocks and wait to ambush any prey that crosses his path, including any unfortunate Maximals or Predacons.

In his robot mode, the four tentacles on his back can be used as extra limbs, making him extremely agile. He is lacking in firepower, however. The only long range weapons at his disposal are the laser blasts that can be issued from the tips of his tentacles when in robot mode.

Okay. Introduction over. I actually have a story with him and another one of my OCs set up in my mind. I'll tell you more when I post Groundbreaker's pic.

And yeah, the name Riptide has been reused. There was an original G1 character by the name of Riptide, however, their personalities are nothing alike and are certainly not supposed to be the same character.
