Well I first thought this was sweet and a little sad just because of that look on his face, but then I read your descrip and holy heartbreaker! Also, I kind of love that they're cuddled so close together - that feels like something Kaidan would want, her completely in his space, for some weird reason.

I love everything about this art. The way he's looking at sleeping Shep; his big hand on her back and the light! Everything is so serene ( I hope we will get this kind of happy re-union in ME3 :3 )

Like you, I understand Kaidan/Ash's reaction and well, I regret that Shep wasn't more 'caring' in the choices of sentences when they finaly met again. I guess and hope that the best will happen in ME3, can't wait for it !

They don't dump you, they just have responsibilities with the alliance they aren't able to abandon. Tali was able to take care of her stuff and was able to get permission from the admiralty to join. And a loved one coming back from the dead and working for a terrorist group is pretty hard to swallow and digest in a short matter of time.
Bioware also pretty much had to make sure that ash/kai had no possible way to die in me2 to ensure they were alive no matter what for me3. UGH me3 can't come soon enough. T_T

They not only hog the blanket,later they will throw it off (after they've gotten too warm) and in the morning they will claim YOU stole the blanket, and that is why THEY are cold.

I draw with a graphire3 tablet on adobe ps cs4. I use a custom brush i found with opacity pressure and size pressure.
