Rotties are so cute, aren't they? I feel sorry for your dog

I'm so sorry for that. I haven't had a pet for a long time now. My pets were only dogs and fish. The fish died and 2 of the dogs. The other 2 dogs I had ranaway, and I haven't seen them ever since. TT.TT I feel your pain. Though...

I hope you cheer up soon!

I loved that dog... but time heals all wounds as they say, and he helped me grow in some ways, so he'll always be with me.

I'm sorry about your losses

I offer you my condolence on this one. I've lost two dogs and eleven cats in my time. I know how the pain feels.

Especially Siam and Misty. Two greatest cats ever, hands down.

Oh wow! That's a lot

This isn't the first animal I've ever lost, but it's the first one I've watched put to sleep (in my family, our animals usually just get old and die in their sleep peacefully). I didn't own Sarge and they wouldn't let me have him because of his training but I would have liked to let him retire on a cable if nothing else, not the concrete.

He was buried next to the owner's husky, Ivy (he loved her, methinks )

My pets have usually been taken by the road (curses upon the satanic machines!) or just disappear, dead or alive I don't know. It's always heart-wrenching to see a friend die in a way you didn't wish.

The worst part, though, is the fact that the more deaths there have been, the quicker I get over them. I often wonder if I'm losing feeling.

I certainly hope not.

You're not losing feeling, you're just realizing it's not the end of the world.

I guess so.

Sama...... I am sorry.... Be it known that he was a good defender and companion to those he knew and who loved him- even if he was only a "kennel dog"... he may not have liked me and vice versa, but he was good to those who cared for him and that's what counts... as sappy as this may be (it is not my style but...) Dogs leave pawprints on our hearts........... Goodbye Sarge-sama....

Yeah... I cried like a baby. I told mom it was easier to watch Buttons colic and go into seizures than it was to watch him get put down (he snarled at them until he stopped breathing O_O) I think it was because I didn't pity Buttons.

My sama is such a good person.

D: That's so sad...there's a dog just like him at our animal shelter, except some asshole kids were throwing crap at him and he bit one... they had to put him to sleep too. It sucks when crap like that happens.

Yeah, that's why he was in a kennel. Neighborhood kids were mean to Sarge too and the phrase, 'attack-trained police dog' didn't seem to mean a whole lot to them
