*lol* I'm not quite sure what brought this little guy on, but I have a vague memory of wanting to design a kodama (tree spirit) for one of my older sister's stories. Her story had nothing to do with grass skirts or disco poses though ^_^At any rate, it's colored and has a fun little background to go with it.
Heh... I think I spent too much energy on this thing!

Well, I don't know that exactly *is seriously behind in her Shaman King manga reading*-- but I'm pretty sure I remember Yoh's grandfather summoned some to attack him when he was a kid because he was slacking on his training *lol*
The first time I encountered a kodama was when I watched the movie Mononoke Hime (Princess Mononoke). They're all over the place. The western equivalent is called a 'brownie'.

Well, obviously I colored it with the tablet. The background is just a green fill. Over that I ran the leaf Special Effect brush (PS 7.0) over it in two colors and made the border in two greens with a nifty border no jutsu (heh...).
Pretty easy.
I guess I did learn something from my CG II class
