Yes! THIS is that huge project that's been taking up all my time! I'm thrilled to bits that it's finally done (even though I can spot a multitude of tiny little errors now).
I was really trying hard to apply some of the advanced coloring skills I knew were just hiding somewhere in my head...and including a background for once was essential.
Could this be a new wave of talent from lil' ol' me? I think it is!!
Lots of love to Dee Dreslough, [link] who is more responsible than she ever knew for having inspired me to work so hard on drawing dragons (you can clearly see that I imitate her style a lot). Thanks Dee!

WOW! That's so very awesome! I adore the shading, the water is quite lovely, the expression and obvious "movement" in the peice really makes me think he/she's enjoying a nice, relaxing day out there in the sun....A perfect setting for a lazy day :3 I'm very impressed with the amount of detail in the shading and the apendages! The wings are neat that they are see-through...It adds a "light" effect to him/her.
