To be honest I had an idea for a Sailor Moon fanfic where Shingo more or less becomes the senshi of the sun. Or rather he becomes a warrior who holds the star seed reprenting the sun.

Yeah I have. Basically in my idea, he had a past life in the Silver Millenium and was close friends with Princess Serenity (and it's implied he had more than feelings of friendship for her, but stepped aside as he saw she was happy with Endymion) and after the fall of the Moon Kingdom, he was reincarnated into her brother Shingo.

However, remnants of the Dark Kingdom return with intent to gather energy in a plot to resurrect Metallia. At this point his "Senshi" powers awaken, yet not completely. It's similar to Tuxedo Kamen's case. He could not remember things fully and thus the Tuxedo Kaimen persona came to be. Same with Shingo's form, although instead of being a Kaimen figure, he is more of a knight figure. He can't remember his past life but only knows he has to protect the princess and has brief flashes of moments into the past. I guess in a way, Shingo's past life is a separate entity that has yet to fully merge with his current life. The "Solar Knight" is a sort of merger yet not completely.

Wow, that is vastly different then any fanfic idea I've read or heard of before, Shingo is rarely mentioned in fanfics. Have you started writing this idea down?

Nah. I doubt I will get to it. I want to but I worry I won't be able to. It just bothered me because I always wondered what happened to the Tsukino's during the rise of Crystal Tokyo. I mean, Chibiusa didn't recognize Kenji and Ikuko as her grandparents or Shingo as her uncle. Well, she didn't recognize Mamoru nor Usagi as her parents, but that's understandable considering how different in personality they are to their future selves. But the Tsukino's lack of mention makes me wonder if something dark happened to them? Or alternatively at least in my idea, the reason Chibiusa didn't recognize Shingo as her uncle was perhaps during Crystal Tokyo he goes by his past life name.

Speaking of Crystal Tokyo, I wonder what happened to Uranus, Neptune, and Saturn? I mean Pluto is obviously within the door of time and space, but one wonders about the other three outer senshi. I personally think when Chibiusa went back in time, it altered the timeline, at least in the present, not necessarily Chibiusa's. I think it is safe to assume in this timeline, Usagi will solve the crisis with the Black Moon family without a war. Least that is what I think. Plus I wonder about when Chibiusa becomes a full fledged senshi. You do know in the manga, the Amonzoness Quartet were actually corrupted Sailor Senshi who were meant to be Chibiusa's future team right?

I've read some of the manga and you have some interesting points but I have a very dark spin that happens after the Dark Kingdom is defeated in the 30th century, very dark. My SM gallery has some of the pics that will show you that, even if you don't read the story.

Well it is up to the imagination. In my idea, Shingo's past self was a member of an order of priests/sages who drew their power from the sun. He was merely a fledgling priest who became close friends with Princess Serenity. Basically he would have been what Helios is to Endymion. But I was thinking perhaps one of their own betrayed them for power, possibly tying with Metallia's rise seeing as she is a dark spirit born from the sun. When the Moon Kingdom fell, Shingo or whatever his name was and the traitor were reincarnated.

Eventually when Crystal Tokyo comes to be in the main timeline, Shingo going by his past life name has reinstated the sun priest order. He has become more like his past self in personality and retains all of his memories. But still he is Shingo at heart and despite the fact he and Usagi or Neo Queen Serenity get along much better, they still have snippets of their sibling rivalry in the past, only not so malicious. Mostly just teasing. ChibiUsa eventually becomes the new Sailor Moon and likewise the Amazoness Quartet awaken as Senshi becoming her own team. I was thinking sometime after the Dead moon arc, the girls met with Queen Sernity's spirit who told them of their true purpose and they were put into slumber till the day they would be needed.

Shingo marries Hotaru and they have twins, a son and a daughter. Their son ends up becoming a knight figure like his father only with the powers of Saturn. Their daughter becomes the first Sailor Sun. She and ChibiUsa are more or less rivals and she winds up with her own Sailor Team consisting of the children of the Inner senshi. Rei's twin daughters, Mikoto's daughter, and Minako's adopted daughter. The four girls inherit the signs of the moons of their mother's respective planets. For example, Rei's daughters become Sailor Phobos and Sailor Deimos. Ami has a son who becomes a Mercury Kamen if you will.

Uranus, Neptune and Pluto don't have kids and they probably mainatin their duty of protecting the Outer Solar System.
