Description
They keep me going.Decided to step away from the computer and do something with real media for a change. Hunt (er, Speedball now, I guess) 102 and Higgins' Black Magic on Pentalic paper, with a little bit of wash for lustre.
Here's a pro tip for the kiddies: when you decide you're going to invest a few hours on a drawing, make sure you do the drawing on the correct side of the paper, unlike Mr. Laemeur, who doesn't bother to check these things, and only realizes when the first pen stroke goes down that he's not on the pressed/treated/coated/whatever side, and his lines are all hairy on account of the bleed.

OMG I love your style, just brilliant. Reminds me of some of those old MAD illustrations, just beautiful!

Thanks very much. As an admirer of the usual gang of idiots, that's high praise indeed.

Really nicely drawn.
Also, that desk is virtually identical to one I modeled in 3D once! Even has the exact same handles. Only mine only had three drawers, not four. You have taste in architecture.

That's my actual desk.
Well, obviously not my actual desk (it's just a drawing after all), but it's a depiction of my actual desk, which, incidentally, was a gift. So, I can't take any credit for my architectural taste in this case.
But I assure you, it really is impeccable. My taste, I mean.

I should try using a sketch of a desk as an actual desk sometime. I can see myself cramming all my junk onto a small A4 piece of paper. And failing.

Very nice
I think everybody has that chair or at least something similar. I have one currently sitting in the corner of my room.

well it's nice to know you're human like the rest of us. c:
no tail. hoho.
also.. crosshatchingggg. :Q
or did I just use the wrong term?
lines..? just.. lines. none of them are crossing.
but they're pretty!

Nope, no crosshatching, although I don't rightly know what to call it (hatching? line tone? parallembelismication?). Glad you like it, though!
And as far as the tail goes -- sometimes it makes it onto the paper, sometimes it doesn't, but it's always there. But it's never really there, is it?

As is I.
That's why when I want to sound brainy, I just make up a somewhat plausible-sounding word, like parallembelismication. Ha-HA!

Hey now! I would've tried to use that word around the art kids!
"Nice parallembelismication you got there. *wink*"
