Well you can try to use watercolor markers...
But gosh they are so expensive... and they need some ability to use them.
Simple watercolors, need thick paper and brushes(not cheap too) ... and more time for coloring things...
So I'm using photoshop for save my time and money XD

Yeah seriously. I've seen them at Michael's before and it was like 5 bucks for one marker!
Well, it's a cool method nonetheless. I've heard of some shows in the 90's doing the same. And there was a certain REALLY stylized game doing the same thing for the same reasons lol
