Mermaid...fishy girl...thing, more inspired from Koi fish and those fish on Fantasia than mermaids though. Reminds me of a vaporeon lolThis is a gift for my Mommy for Mother's Day. She like's faeries and stuff like that but her new kitchen is all in blues so this is what I came up with instead. I wanted to give her something nice that she could hang up if she wanted. Plus, her favorite color is purple. The background is kinda lacking if you ask me...
Sketched on bristol board then inked with Microns pens, and painted with watercolors. Took about 10 hours all together...

This is so pretty. I like the background -- it's simple, making the picture itself stand out more. Hehe. You're riht, it does sorta remind me of a vaporeon too -- butin it's own special, subtle way.
