Pretty quick comic thing I made because holy hell I'm fed up of drawing meerkats! I needed a break from work, so I caught up with the Korra episodes and doodled this.I'm still enjoying Korra but maybe not quite as much as I did when it started. Some of the characters are a bit meh, so its hard to care about them :/
I'm still loving the animation and intrigued about who Amon is though! I also still really like Korra herself

Heh. She has to use a fan because she sucks at air bending. What's wrong Korra? Can't blow air out of your mouth? Do you want me to give you a portable fan so you can carry it around???

I love the expressions you've given her. So cute! I love her big, proud smile as she Waterbends, and the confident, if not cocky pose that goes along with it. Her kinda intimidating smirk as she Firebends fits really well...though my favorite is her Earthbending! Her smile, her kicking pose, and her outfit are ADORABLE. She's so cuuute.
And, of course, the Airbending one is hilarious. I love how even her ponytail is drooping as she slumps in defeat. Awesome. XD

You're have a very good point about LoK because I just finished watching Avatar: The Last Airbender and I just completely fell in love with all the character even crying at some point of the show. And then it seems like every Saturday when I watch LoK I'm disappointed with the level of depth and effort they put into the show.

Totally! I feels like they haven't given Korra's friends enough time for us to get to know them, Mako and Bolin especially. At the moment I feel like they could be left out of the second series and I wouldn't miss them :/

Very cute.
Don't feel bad about feeling a bit lax with this series. The animation is amazing and so alive. The characters are engaging and very against the stereotype. But the story? Meh
I'm not really into "sports drama" or "political intrigue" anyway.
After seeing Last Airbender be bold enough to take advantage of the multitude of "win/loss" mixes for characters, the "all-powerful baddies keep winning" thing is just so.... a real step backwards.

I think my main problem with the series is I'm finding Korra's friends are being wasted. They don't seem that relevant to the plot and I feel like I don't know them beyond -Bolin makes jokes, Mako is Korras love interest, Asami is Korras love rival. I just wish there was more too them than that. Aang's friends where much more interesting and involved, and I found the Azula and Zuko much more 3 dimensional as villains than the equalists or Tarrlok. I guess its a lot to do with the shorter length of this series, but saying that, I've seen a lot of 13 episode anime that have done a great job of developing their characters in a short length of time.
I'm totally with you on "sports drama"! Not my thing at all -_-

Exactly! I'm so glad that I'm not the only one feeling that way. Mako, Bolin and Asami are just there as "interaction characters" rather than doing anything for the story.
Quite frankly, even Zhao was more interesting than Tarrlock or Amon are. And that's really saying something.
