o.o Sambooka looks sooooooo cute here.

I like a lot about this page. I think it's a good example of what's so fun about this comic so far: the world is interesting and full of fun characters and character designs. It's got a very cute vibe to everything, but the pirate themes and the fighting themes make it more of a playful, energetic cuteness that kinda draws you in more than just gazing upon cute and colorful characters.

That said, I think Sambooka looks way cute here. XD I love her poses and the expressions that go with them. I love how in the 2nd panel, as the frog-announcer guy is announcing things, he makes sure to describe her as "the beautiful lady." I love how her pose and her expression is showing her accepting such a flattering description as being very welcome. I'm not sure how to best explain what I think that expression/body language is, but it's perfect! And then her smile and wave in her next panel are so cute. XP I love how her figure and her pose has softer, curvier shapes as she takes a slightly less active role in the story, as it communicates her cute scenes on this page very well.

And the frog-announcer! He's awesome! XD I love these colorful character designs. I love how in a piratey world, the announcer and fight promoter is a frog in a peppermint-striped, county-fair huckster shirt. XD And, looking forward a couple of pages on the official site, I can see all of the characters are just as colorful and quirky. The character designs and the mechanics of the world really work for me -- they're fun and colorful and engaging. Everything feels exciting, and it draws you into the story more, I think.
