Still behind schedule, b-but I'm trying to stick to it-!! Still hating my tones too, but I want to keep it as simplistic and efficient as possible (with only 2 tones), hrrrgghhh idk how I feel about it though...Seriously, any tips/advice on how to tone comics would be much appreciated!
Anyway, mad thanks again to Devonition for the help with the action sequence, particularly panel 3! Man this stuff is hard, I should've read more shonen manga I guess lmao
This page came about pretty quickly though, so I'm glad-! Gonna keep working on getting faster~

Ahhhhhh thank you, ahahaha!! I strive to be able to loosen up in my comicking-!! In retrospect, as I read comics, so much is left so rough, all you really need is a strong "impression" or sense for what is going on in that panel since people read so fast... I keep trying to keep that in mind...

Hehe, same here. I just LOVE when the comic gives a strong impression I really don't mind roughness. So in my next experiment i will keep the original pencil lines probably. XD
At the same time part of me strives for perfection. It's so hard XD;

The use of two tones is good here since it's a dark place with only bright light coming from the windows, that doesnt seem to light the room so much.
I guess for a scène outside in daytime, a third tone, lighter one could be good to use.
I'd like to give real advice but I don't so much experience in comics and really need to refine it. Watching yours and others as an example helps me so maybe you should watch comics you love to be inspired of the way it's toned !

And yeah, I try to study what I can, but sometimes I find that other artists are working super-simply, only using one or two tones, but I can't seem to master it-!! Then again, maybe it doesn't fit my lineart style either, so here I am, just finding my way, hurmmm...

I'm really looking forward to seeing how this series is going to play out in the long run because this is a really interesting setup (especially for someone who isn't too familiar with the characters or their relationships so I've got no idea where this is going)

It's so cool that you're doing a comic for your story. It's like really bringing it to life.
I like how much you can convey without a single word. You did really well with the perspective. It ads a lot to making the scene feel more dynamic.

this is a good sequence. sorry I can't offer any tips on toning. I'm not very good at that hahaaa. maybe if you added a little variety in value when it comes to things like the hat and the hair? sometimes just a little subtlety in difference between different objects can go a long way.

Something I really love about these panels is the sense of ...air? Like I can really feel the force and might of Corryn's strikes alongside Sariel's motion and the billowing dust everywhere.
haha, i kind of like that Sariel coughs in cursive. XD; i dunno why, it blends in well with the line art maybe...
