At looooong last, my poor poor main character finally has a reference sheet-!!!! I know, this only took me like, what, 10 years? 12?? XD;;;Anyway, here he is, my sad boy~ XD Tattoos/sigology not finalized yet because I'm terrible at this stuff haha, but it's a good enough reference for now, I guess-!!
Please feel free to ask my any questions you might have, I'm always happy to answer! Excited to really get the ball rolling on Iris at last!!

It's sad, but I feel like he's just... not quite as interesting as all of the side characters I've developed, so I've always ended up kind of neglecting him, whoops... xD I feel like his story hasn't changed/developed too much, all things considered-!! I should really learn how to focus on him better though, him being my MC and all... xD;;;;;

What is that seal, how comes he has it?
It seems to me that you found a way to make your style a lot simpler, I mean its still improving, it just seem to me that you get to the result you want very quickly when drawing a character. Like, the lines can be relevant at once

Ahhhh, the Seal is meant to suppress his angel attributes, so it hides his wings and limits his power. All of the non-human (Demi) species in Iris are either encouraged or enforced to wear Seals so as to better integrate into human society, to of course varying degrees of success/conflict...
And hahaha, thank you, I am very happy to be able to make my work simpler/faster, for me the overall impression matters more than refined details in execution, so I'm happy to hear that-!!

But what’s the purpose in limiting their power, but still experimenting on people to give them angel, demon attributes/qualities ?
Since it’s kind of a post apocalyptic world if I got it right, I can imagine some people look for solutions so human beings can be "improved" and adapt to the harsh living conditions ?
But that means the angels and demons are part of this world and at least some people could contact them (capture them I imagine) to make experiments...?

They're all just a bunch of different races trying to coexist, really. Since the world was "human" to begin with, and humans still control the governmental structures of society, they seal up the Demis to equalize them physically with humans--to make them less threatening/powerful, really. But they're also experimenting on how to give themselves, humans, the benefits of angel/demon attributes (the best ones honestly, since they include true regeneration and longer lifespans).
Angels are treated rather better since they've been viewed historically/biblically as being good (many of them serve in churches/for the government), while demons have been scapegoated as violent and wicked--whether there's any truth to this, really, has yet to be determined for sure.
Hahah that's the basic gist of some of the aspects of the world of Iris, I hope that makes some sense...?

I guess for angels the Seal just hides their wings and limits their overall power/regenerative abilities, they're a lot stronger than humans or most other Demi species. ....You just reminded me that I need to draw a seal for Eire too, oops;;;;;;; (it's also because I'm too lazy to draw wings half the time, let me live lmao)
