Sorry, 'nother dump of some pretty lackluster stuff; just wanted to clear out all my old sketches from 2017 and catch up-!! Been going through a bit of a rough patch with my traditional stuff, it's been super scribbly of late, buuuuut I feel like I've slowly been figuring out how I want to work with it, maybe...?Also been playing with some inks... I went through a big experimental/growth patch during this time I feel (august 2017-december2017), so a lot of stuff looks awful but I feel like I'm learning and growing a lot, even if it doesn't show here-!!
Anyway, just a bunch of OC doodles; Apama belongs to , Luke fon Fabre is from Tales of the Abyss, and Anotsu Kagehisa is from Blade of the Immortal.

I always love seeing your sketchdumps yo! you your sketchs lackluster but I really really like em. I'm actually sort of a bit jelous because whilst your sketchs are still a bit rough and unrefined, I feel like they still make a nice image and get a point across, which I feel like I can't really do if I'm just loosly sketching, I have to make my self sit down and actually draw.

Ahhhhhh I feel like it's bad 'cuz I've gotten so reliant on being able to go over sketches/fix things in digital that my confidence has gone to nothin' and I just fumble around!! I wish I could be more coherent, but thank you man!! Keeping 'em lively is definitely still a priority of mine, hahahaha.

I get ya. I would say one way to look at it is that is editing it digitally a crutch or just another tool at your desposal? Like I have the oposite problem in that I have to do all my lineart traditionally, even if I still sketched it trad I wouldn't be able to ink it digitally, I just sorta don't get a sense of physical feedback so I can't make my lines not look all scribbley. Either way tho I gotta say you're sketchs still look awesome, I definately wouldn't be able to get results like this by just "fumbleing around". Keep on keepin on yo! <3

Ahahahah well I think I've gotten to the point where digital inking lets me edit/re-do/work something out till I figure it out, so I enjoy it a lot more than traditional right now. My digital can still end up a little stiffer, but my traditional leads to me.... drawing generic headshots/stuff I'm not afraid to mess up, I guess? xD I feel a lot of freedom/less pressure digitally and it gets me really trying out poses/angles and all, so I guess for me it boils down to that, that I'll have the space/tools to "get it right" XD

I tottally get that yo! like me always drawing traditionally holds me back a lot because of those same reasons I think. One thing for me as well is my desk will commonly wind up in a non-clear state, which just puts another barrier infront of me drawing lol. I do mean to get back into the swing of it at some point tho.
