Man I kept forgetting to upload this here, but AAAHHHHHHH I'm so excited for the Tales of Symphonia remaster!! It's been a good year for Tales in general, what with the release of Xillia in the US/EU and announcement of localization of both the Symphonia remaster (PS2 version at last!) and Xillia 2 next year, ahhhhhh I can't wait!It's been over 7 years since I last played Symphonia, and ohgosh seeing the trailers for the remaster just hit me with such a wave of nostalgia. The Tales of series really means a lot to me, as they were one of the best things to happen to me back then, and they led to the start of so many friendships through a super-sweet and terrific fandom that I still hold dear to my heart today. I can't wait to revisit this world again~
Anyway, just a quick oekaki over at the Tales of Oekaki Board .
I was inspired by the colorful artworks of ~juvari to try using a more interesting palette, though I'm not that great at it yet, hahah! Still, a lot of fun~ <3

And the Tales games are a ton of fun, they also have real-time multiplayer battles too so it's such a blast to play them~

Hahahahah, ohmaaaaaaaaan you shoould~!! <:'D I mean, Xillia's not gonna be as great as Abyss I just know, but so far it's a lot of fun! (I've heard it's actually kinda short/ends a bit rushed though... xD; ) And yeah, Xillia got good reviews over here, which is kinda impressive it's a JRPG~ <3
(And, and, I hear Xillia 2 is a real killer in terms of having a dark and serious storyline~ 8'D)

Well the Tales games are always terrific since the battles are real-time action (and multiplayer, too!), so ohman you definitely should pick up a game and see if it isn't to your liking! <:'D But yeah, I'm really liking Xillia so far (granted I'm only about 12 or so hours in), it's a lot of fun! : D
(Though I will forever and always preach that Abyss is my favorite and has the best storyline, hahahah!)

Hahahahahah, actually, they are!!! They're doing a remastered version of Tales of Symphonia for the PS3, so I can't waaaiiit~ <3
They actually announced that, and Xillia, and Xillia 2 all to be localized for the US, I'm so excited cuz I've waited years for Tales to finally sell outside of Japan~!!! ;0; <3<3<3

I was reading something about how the Japanese game market is crashing and burning. Something about the yen. I don't know...I didn't really understand it.

omg I don't have the right system to play Xillia but I'm just?? so excited for more Tales things?! it is DEFINITELY a good year for Tales Of. Super nostalgic. ;3;

Aaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, yeah it's been amazing! IMO though a PS3 is definitely worth it, I bought one just for Tales of Graces f, and with Xillia and the Symphonia remaster both for PS3 I think it's definitely worth it... xD (And Xillia 2 I think will also be released for PS3!)

PAHAHAHAHAH. I'm trying to think of the great and powerful scenes in Symphonia but all I keep thinking of is the "Ha ha, you got rejected!" line... ohgod xD
But man, is it just me or has Symphonia aged really well?? The crisper edges are a nice touch but the graphics in general are just really amazing???

I suppose? I just love what they do with the Tales brand in general, so it feels like a continuum of happy-fun-tiemz from game to game.
(As far as graphics, I'm old enough to remember when RPGs really forced you to use your imagination; watching 16-bit sprites act out really emotional scenes and you believed it... :0)

And I've been enjoying your colourful palettes actually *_* Limegreenlimegreenlimegreen. It's something I need to do more myself. I've been getting more neutral because of the types of things I've been colouring when in fact I wanna do more ambitious things~

Pahahahahah, really?!? I find Zelos to be really really freakin' hard to draw for some reason--something about the suave-bishonen-yet-very-anime kinda look I have a hard time pinning down, hahahahah... but agh, thanks!
And ohman lime green is TERRIFYING, I am not comfortable using such bright colors at all hahahah, but I'll keep trying~!!

I'm still uncomfortable using bright colours too. I always default back to bright colours in neutral palettes when things start getting to psychedelic. I need to stop being so safe. xD
