Watched Children of the Sea last night at the Animation is Film festival. It was visually stunning and absolutely beautiful--to see the manga given new life in color, motion, and music is just beyond amazing.I have a lot of feelings about the theme/details the movie chose to focus on, but in the end it just renewed my love of the manga and the message that Igarashi Daisuke tried to convey.
This universe is so vast, and there's so much more I want to see.

Children of the Sea is a 5-volume manga series by Daisuke Igarashi, recently adapted into a film by Studio 4C. GKIDS has licensed it to release soon in theaters in the US!

still, somehow, doing inktober + ~2 comic pages a week is, uh, a lot, Grits, can't say I'd recommend it :'D;;;;

Ahhhhh thank you!! It took me a bit to figure out how to get the subtle color changes in the sky how I liked it, but yeah, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, thank you!! Painting is so fun to go back to~ *-*
