I think you should draw some more Colossus, your quota is running low.

Nice. I see a little Bart Sears in it.
Great work Lak.

Thanks, I like Bart Sears stuff...only prob is that its sometime too stiff. Its good to study anatomy though. Of course nothing is better than the real stuff.

Wow! He looks like he just came out of the carwash! Shiny shiny shiny! Ah, Piotr, how I miss you. How could they kill you off???
I can think of no good bg, because I can rarely do them. All I can think of is one of those giant junkyard electromagnets. :rimshot:

heh heh, I'm guilty of not doing enough bg too! I've always loved drawing Colossus probably cuz he's so huge and shiny

Enh, bgs suck.
Who can resist an iron giant?

Dunno, for some reason. I've always liked big shiny objects. In my elementary school orchestra, we got to choose what instrument to play and I remember picking the trombone because it was huge and shiny! lol

I prefer glowy to shiny myself. (Ex: lava lamps, my retainer, etc.)
You had an orchestra in elementary school??? Wow; we didn't. The trombone is very cool, except when someone plays it poorly, it sounds like a harmonica (to me at least). Bassoon all the way! Though that means very little, since I'm a soon-to-be-ex-bandgeek.

It sucked to carry the trombone home after school. I was always jealous of the percussionists with thier 2 little sticks. While I myself had to carry what looked like a giant foot case!

Yeah, those things are heavier, just as heavy as my bassoon case. But could be worse. You could've been attracted to the big, shiny, HEAVY tuba.

lol, no way would I be attracted to a tuba. Even as a kid, I knew what the geekiest instument was

Tuba? The geekies instrument? Most kids in my class seem split on whether it's the mellophone or the bassoon!

lol, I guess its cuz the "general public" probably don't know what those instruments are.

True. People seem to keep thinking I play an oboe or a clarinet.
It's a sad, sad thing...

Yeah the mighty Colossus of Russia! he is the most kick ass X-man! (altho they dont feature him as a member of the X-men anymore and I doubt he'd fair any better against Magneto than Wolverine does!)

Yeah, he was my fav next to Wolverine of course.

This picture is freakin PHAT. I think you should stick with the crackling energy, though. I never seen him In X-Men Evolution, so I don't know about that, but I like tradition.

thanks, this is how he looked when Marc Silvestri worked on the X-Men. Though I forgot his bracelets.

hmmmm maybe a lighting thing shaped in an X or maybe thats a little to corny i dunno perhaps if you where up to it you could draw a brick wall that been blown to bits.either way its a freakin awsome pick.good texture.

LakLim In reply to leeches [2003-09-06 05:40:11 +0000 UTC]
the brick wall sounds cool but wouldn't really fit with the image since Colossus wouldn't be in it. Cuz he's already a finished drawing. That would have to be like in the distant background.
