Good old Dusty finally getting a ref update! I can’t get over the fact that 13-year old me created Dustspeed in her head on vacay in Mallorca back in 2014!!
I am currently having some trouble with writing my bachelor but drawing helps with my mood.

Dustspeed is cunning and sharp-tongued, with a sassy demeanor that often catches others off guard. Hardened by her experiences, she lacks deep empathy and is desensitised to violence, viewing it as nothing more than part of the job.
Her dark humor serves as a coping mechanism, masking her inability to make morally charged decisions. She prefers to remain objective, which complicates matters when she starts forming genuine relationships, requiring her to be vulnerable and accountable in ways she's unaccustomed to.

Origin story:
Dustspeed began her journey as an Autobot during the early stages of the great war, motivated by her desire to stay close to one of her dearest friends, a medic.
During a mission in the acid wastes, Dustspeed stumbled upon a hidden Decepticon lab. Inside, she discovered a massive Dark Energon crystal. Her fate took a dire turn when Shockwave impaled her on the crystal, infusing her with Dark Energon. This should have been her end, but the shards of Dark Energon embedded in her broken spark revived her after she was abandoned in the acid wastes. Now, she depends on regular doses of stabilized Dark Energon to survive.
Despite the perilous transformation, Dustspeed became a valuable asset to the Autobots with her newfound abilities. However, the greed of those in charge of her deployment led to a catastrophic overdose of Dark Energon. She lost control, inadvertently offlining an entire Autobot squad, including her medic friend who had been tasked with creating the stabilized serum.
Devastated by the loss of her friend and her main reason for staying with the Autobots, Dustspeed chose to leave the faction, becoming a neutral contractor.
