ZYGOBASIC
They have a Hive community where the Queen is the ruler. Their species are born to follow a Hive mind but the Queen has made the thread between their minds weaker so that her people can be free and live the way they want. She can communicate with the people through the hive mind, and can adjust the hive mind fully back at any anytime.
Their arm and head shields is called Clipeum (or just armor) and is attached to the body, it is not removable. When they are younglings(children) they all start out with a small round shield on their wrists, it will grow into the form of their born rank as they age.
UPGRADES
They can obtain Upgrades which will alter their appearance.
Upgrade-Beta "common"
Tail - any kind of tail
Fur - can grow all over the body and have any length. Fur can't grow on the Clipeums
Talons - Long sharp fingers and toes or claws
Thorns - can grow all over the body except on the Clipeums
Upgrade-Alfa "uncommon"
Transparent - Clipeums are transparent. You see the body underneath
Aura leak - aura of any color leaks from where Clipeum and body connect
Bare - Clipeums are removed to reveal a bare body. Zygos with this upgrade can be extra vulnerable
Tufts - the tufts that is a part of the head Clipeum can reach any length
RANKING
Zygos have a ranking system. If you own one you can rank it up(level it up) trough a queen's quest.

If you have a drone and you want it to become a runner you have to do a trial to obtain that form, when you have finished the trial your character can switch from drone to runner form as they please. And the same for all the other forms, though you can't jump from having only one tier 1 form(drone, runner, warrior) to a tier 2 form(defender, ravanger, praetorian). You have to at least do one tier 1 trial beside your characters original form before you can do a tier 2 trial.
Example: If you have a drone your first trial can't be for a tier 2 form. You have to get either runner form or warrior form before you can do a tier 2 trial
tier 1 forms: drone - runner - warrior
tier 2 forms: defender - ravanger - praetorian
Zygos is a CS you are not allowed to make your own!

You know its funny that you named the armor clipeum x3 back when We talked about it before it was named I translated diffrent words(meaning something protecting) for fun and that word was one of them x’D
