~~Kyo’s POV~~
____ had just kissed my cheek and I tried to keep my heart in check before I could change. Shigure told me if I told her that I’d have to do it with him and Hatori there just in case. She just smiled at with while eating her ice cream and the wind blowing her (h/l) (h/c).
“So what is your cousin like?” ___ asked after swallowing the last of her ice cream.
I snorted, “Stupid, childish, perverted and annoying damn dog.”
“Why do you keep referring to your family members as animals? Yuki is a rat and your cousin is a dog.” She gave a cute airy laugh. “Do you call any of them a cow or snake?”
“Yes.” I stated sourly. Before she asks any more questions I quickly pointed out my house. “There it is.” I mumbled.
“Oh how pretty! Why are you guys all the way out here though?”
“It’s just easier to be away from everyone with our family condition.”
“Oh, that’s sad. What condition?”
“You’ll see in a moment.”
“Kyo,” she whined at me and I stop right at the front door, “I am coming really annoyed with these vague answers and ignoring my questions. I am becoming less forgiving.”
“Just hold your damn horses and you’ll see.” I shouted at her.
“There is no reason to yell at me because you’re being so elusive!” She shouted back, her patience really did seem to be getting short with me.
“Kyo~!” Shigure called from in the house. “Don’t yell at the pretty high school girl~!”
“Shut up, you damn pervert!” I yelled. I opened the door and kicked off my shoes then looked behind me to see ____ standing there with her arms crossed her chest. “Are you coming in or not?” I grumbled at her.
“Are you going to stop being an ass?” She mumbled as she pushed past me.
“Did you really just call me an ass?!” Why was I getting madder? I was trying to be nicer to her not mean! I really just can’t control this temper!
“Yes!” She shouted at me.
“Kyo. Stop.” Hatori’s cold and leveled voice called from behind me.
“But-“
“If she is going to learn our family secret then it’s better to have her calm. You don’t have to keep retorting. Ms. ____, my name is Hatori Sohma, I am a cousin to Kyo.
“It’s nice to meet you.” She gave a small bow and I grunted.
~~Your POV~~
You knew Kyo had a bad time controlling his temper but you were losing your patience with his rudeness. Needless to say you were glad Hatori stopped him and greeted you.
“So Kyo said if he tried to explain anything to me that I wouldn’t believe him so he needed his cousin. Are you that cousin?”
“Very doubtful, I am sure he meant Shigure. If you come in the living room we will be happy to explain our family condition to you.” Hatori walked away and you quickly followed and Kyo trailed behind you.
They explained about the 13 zodiac animals’ story. How they were cursed with the animals of the zodiac. How that Kyo has the worst condition and when you asked how he exploded and ran outside. You were about to run after him when Shigure stopped you.
“Do you believe us?” Shigure asked as he was gripping onto your sleeve.
“No not really. But if it were true at would make sense on a few things but it doesn’t seem-” You were cut off by the impact of Shigure hugging you and you froze. “Come one. Get off of me; I want to go make sure Kyo is okay.”
Shigure was looking at you intensely. “Who are you?”
“I thought we already established this. My name is ____ ____.”
“A better question is who your parents are?” Hatori asked as he stood up and looked at you closely.
“I don’t know. I was adopted. I asked my parents why and they said something about mother thinking my father was a freak and didn’t want to know if I was going to be one too.” You hung your head at the thought.
“Do you think I could take a vile of your blood?”
“What are you guys? Vampires too?”
“No, I just wish to do some testing with your blood and our files. It’ll only take a couple of hours.”
“Yeah sure I guess. I could go find Kyo while you do that.” You rolled up your sleeve. “Hey, you want to check to make sure I am not sick still too?”
“Sick?”
“I had some blood disease about two years ago that made me really sick and one day it just disappeared. The doctors still never found out what it was. I was on the verge of death and coughing up blood so much I needed transfusions. Then all a sudden I was no longer sick, it was really scary and weird.”
Shigure and Hatori exchanged looks. “Were you born premature?” You nodded, answering Hatori’s question as he drew your blood. “How old are you?”
“Um I am 17.”
“And you have no idea who your parents are?” You shook your head. Hatori told you where Kyou was and you went to roof and just talked with him. You flirted with him and joked, you guys weren’t fighting at all. It was almost noon telling by the sun so you guys climbed down.
“Thank you for helping me yesterday by the way, with cleaning.” You smiled at Kyo. Blushed dusted his cheeks.
“Yeah, whatever.” He mumbled.
“You know, you are pretty handsome, but when you blush it’s so cute.”
“I am not cute!”
You just giggled. “That temper and your blush say otherwise.” He swallowed then led you into kitchen.
“Do you want something to drink?”
“Just some water please.” He silently got you both some water and handed you your cup.
“Hey, ____.” Hatori came in. “That sickness I know what caused it and I have some news. You may want to sit down. The both of you.”
You hopped up on the counter. Kyo just sat down at the table. “Okay hit us.”
“You’re a Sohma.”
