Sean held ___ close to him as they walked to their apartment building. The walk was quiet, but it was comfortable. As they got into the building, Sean took her keys and opened her door for her. He closed the door and helped her with her jacket.
“Thank you.” She smiled at him. There was a bruise on her head from when she tackled the guy and she had some very red scrapes. Her smile stabbed Sean’s heart.
“I’m sorry you got hurt.” The guilt was heavy in his voice.
“Wait, what?” She tilted her head to the side a bit. “Sean, you saved me. I had a knife to my throat!”
“But I couldn’t protect you!” He shouted.
“I’m an independent woman, Sean. You saved me, I protected you. I think we’re even.”
“I could have handled him, though. If you hadn’t tackled him, you won’t have a bruise,” he skimmed his hand over the bruise with a sad face, “and you wouldn’t have these scrapes.” He took her arm and kissed one of the scrapes. “If you didn’t try to protect me, he wouldn’t have broken your wrist!” He rested a hand against her cheek lovingly. “I could have prevented that.”
“Sean.” She leaned her head against his warm tender hand, closing her eyes. ___ put her left hand on his right hand that was holding her cheek. Removing it from her cheek before smiling at him.
“You can’t beat yourself up for this. Shit happens, we didn’t die. I am just so happy that you’re standing next to me. I don’t know where I would be if I lost you as well. There was no way I could just sit there and do nothing.” She went up on her tippy toes and kissed his cheek. “I know you could have won against him. I saw a second knife though, I couldn’t let it unfold in front of me.”
“I’m just so glad I was able to get him away from you before he could hurt you more.” Sean sighed before hugging his girl against him tightly. “I am glad you took action though.” He pushed her back a bit.
“Cause, my god, could you image what people would say if they saw my pretty face hurt?”
They both laughed.
“That would be a shit storm on Tumblr!” ___ laughed and went to wipe a tear with her right hand. Then scraping her face a bit with her cast. “Oh, shit.” They laughed again.
“You okay?” Sean rubbed a thumb against her scrap.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” She smiled at him. “So, I had a good time. You know, besides the whole mugger thing.”
Sean scoffed a bit.
“But, I would,” she cleared her throat while a pink tint brushed her cheeks, “I would like to go out on another date sometime.”
“I love it when you blush.” He just smirked.
“Shut up.” She blushed more.
“Aww, you’re blushing more!”
“Grr!” She scrunched up her nose before hiding her face into his chest.
“You’re so cute.” He wrapped his arms around her. “I would like to take you out again. Minus the whole hospital.” She chuckled before kissing his chin.
“Today is a day to mark on the calendar.”
“Wow, you really liked getting a cast huh?” He laughed.
“No!” She giggled and pushed him away. “We started dating. So you know.” She looked down and then back up to him with a smirk.
“Aww, I guess we should do that.” He pulled out his phone. “Alright. So today is…” He trailed off while bringing up his phone calendar. “June 16th.” He smiled. “Got it marked.”
“I meant more of a mental note. That works too though.”
“Oh.” He chuckled.
Silence.
“So, I guess we should go to bed?” She mumbled.
“Yeah. I should, um, go.” Sean wasn’t sure how it happened that way, but it was suddenly very awkward.
“I need to bathe and go let people know I won’t be able to do somethings for work since I have this thing on my arm.” She waved her arm around, giggling a bit.
“Oh, yeah. How are you going to do everything on your own? Like wrapping your cast in a bag and getting dressed?”
“I’ve had a broken arm before from falling off a shed. I can manage.”
“Wait.” Sean started laughing. “You broke your arm from falling off a shed?”
“Yes! Stop laughing!” She pushed his shoulder.
“How tall was the building?”
“Like five feet why?” Sean just laughed harder. “Stop laughing!”
“I don’t why that is so funny.” Sean kept laughing. ___ crossed her arms the best she could to pout while Sean caught his breath. Then smiled at her.
“You have so many stories I haven’t heard, yet. I didn’t know you were that clumsy.”
“Yes, I am clumsy. Get used to it.” She stuck her tongue out at him.
“Better put that tongue back in your mouth before I put hot sauce on it!” She made a slurping sound while pulling her tongue back into her mouth. Sean laughed with silence that followed. ___ yawned.
“Well I guess I should go.” They stood there for a moment in awkward silence.
“Yeah…” ___ looked around then to Sean with a heavy blush. “Unless…” She trailed off and looked at the floor.
“Unless, what?”
“You want to spend the night?” She whispered it because she was unsure how he would respond. When he didn’t respond, she looked up from the floor.
Sean didn’t know how to respond, he wanted to stay but he just felt like it was too soon into their relationship. He sighed.
“I would love to, but I don’t feel like it would be okay. It would be too soon.”
___ thought for a moment.
“I just didn’t want to be alone tonight.” She whispered. “You know after the thief and everything.”
“Oh.” There was a silence before Sean sighed. “I could sleep out here on the couch so you’re not all alone in this apartment.” He looked around. “Especially because it’s so empty in here since you’ve been moving.”
“We could cuddle.” She whispered.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Sean was being stern because he didn’t want this to go fast.
“Okay. Well I still need to shower, so go home get anything you’d need for bed then we can watch a movie.”
“Alright.” Sean kissed her forehead then left to go get his stuff.

Sean knocked on the door with his blanket, pillows and some other items he decided to bring just in case.
___ opened the door in a baggy long sleeved shirt and some boy shorts. “Hi, hun.” She opened the door wide enough for him to come in. He went over to the couch to dump off his stuff then turned to ___ who was in the kitchen, getting some water.
“Hey, how was your shower?”
She turned around and smiled at him after sipping her water. “It was a bit more difficult than what I remembered, but I managed. It was hard to wash my hair, I might have Craig or Lyric come over and help me.”
“Why, Craig?”
“Well he’s helped me in my drunken stages. Which were not always pretty,”
“How fucking drunk did you get?”
“I usually become the sad drunk and I lose a lot of stuff, including clothes. So Craig has probably already seen it all and has hosed me down a few times.” She laughed at the thought.
“But he’s just a friend right?”
“Oh, of course. He’s like my big brother, but one who has picked me off the sidewalk a few times.”
“Well, hopefully with me, you won’t even end up on the sidewalk another.” Jack smiled at her. “But since I am not far from you. If you need help with anything, even bathing, let me know.”
A blush went on her cheeks, but cleared her throat. “Yeah, I might have to, I’ll just wear my bikini so it’s not as awkward.” Sean stared at her, checking her out for a moment, then yawned.
“We should relax and watch something.”
They put in a movie, Sean moved his stuff then sat down, ___ sat right next to him. She cuddled into his side and he wrapped his arm around her. Not much longer before she fell asleep on him. He chuckled before nudging her, but she didn’t wake up. He moved her until she was in his lap so that he pick her up in his arms. He stood up with her in his arms and walked to her room and placed her on the bed. She opened her eyes a bit as she made contact with the bed.
“Sean?” He smiled at her.
“Yeah, it’s me.” He pulled a blanket over her. She gripped the bottom of his shirt.
“Don’t leave.” She mumbled with slur from sleepiness.
“I’ll be in the livingroom.”
“No.” She whined, softly. She was clearly tired.
“I’ll stay with you until you fall asleep, again. Okay?”
“Okay.” He sat on the edge of her bed and brushed some hair away from her face.
‘She must be really shook up from what happened. But she won’t be honest with me about it. Although, she’s clinging to me because she probably feels weak after getting hurt.’ Sean thought to himself. He watched the rise and fall of her chest. She was already asleep once again, still clinging to his shirt. He stood up, slowly pulling her hand off his shirt, then leaned over to kiss her forehead before leaving her room.
Sitting down on the couch Sean ran his fingers through his hair with a heavy sigh. It was hard to leave her alone but he couldn’t screw this up. He didn’t want to scare or hurt her. He pulled out his laptop and started answering some comments and interacting with twitter and tumblr. After about an hour of talking with some fans, he decided to set up for bed. After arranging his pillows and blanket, he took off his shirt to sleep.
