I vote for this. Apparently this WAS going to be cannon, but then the film makers decided it would be better to leave her single. Can't say I blame them. I still ship it though ^^characters (c) Pixar

Nah she should stay single. The whole point of Brave was that she is simply not interested in it, and that is normal. And definitely, should they make a sequel not to make her fall for any of those doofuses.

Well c'mon...they weren't doofuses. They were all cool in their own ways. But I don't think Merida was ready for any kind of relationship, yeah. I mean, at that age I certainly wasn't xD

It still happens, certainly. But, recently, there have been some great big-budget movies that had female leads without romance plots. That kinda makes me happy :>

And Vonellepe from Wreck it Ralph is basically the second protagonist, and she has no romance subplot. And romance subplots don't have to be bad...It's bad when the female lead is there SOLELY for the hookin' up. Like, I enjoyed the Roxanne/Megamind romance subplot because they were both well developed outside their relationship.

MY GOD THANK YOU. By the end of the film, Mr. Big gentle blond suitor seemed like he'd certainly be the best choice.

Yeah, she seemed to think he was the better option out of all the others. I'm still glad she stayed single, though. Nice change of pace for a princess film.
