After Letchi Island was detonated, Ebirah and Ookundaru drawn to Monster Island, now housing Maguma, Varan, Manda, Baragon, Rodan, Eiji and Skul-Kame, Kong dead after the explosion, Mothra resting on her island paradise, and Godzilla missing, Japan breathed a sigh of releif. Seems like all of Earth's monsters where either dead or on an island. But one still lurked in the brimy.

A fishing boat was suddenly stopped, during a storm, by a ruby red tendril, belonging to a starved Oodako. It seemed his meal from the year earlier, was gone, and decided to hunt humans, trying to drag them out of the ship one by one. How ever, a green giant rose from the waves, grabbing the slimy foe and hurling him into the waves, and then, proceeded to eat the crew of the ship.

DNA of the creature came back, showing similarities to the Frankenstien creature a year earlier, but now, it seemed to eat people and live in the water. Gaira, as it was dubbed, was now the target of military actions.

Gaira was drawn into a lake in the forest of Fuji, but was attacked by the military, weaking the creature effectively, only to have a brown giant rush out to the call of it's 'brother' and was rescued.

Powers:
Limited Regeneration.

Very smart.

Very strong

Can breath under water.
