I found this code key in Dead Space chapter 1 New Arrivals. After meeting up with Hammond and Kendra at the tram station, ya know the part where he tells you to go fetch a new databoard to replace the fried one, there is a section where the lights dramatically fail for a few seconds and noises and such in the dark before they harmlessly turn back on, anyway, head towards your objective, but before that turn right and you'll see a cargo room door that is locked "By Order of Captain Mathius."

On the floor pretty plainly is a marker code key. Some of the letters are smudged, but I've got the ones that did survive, on my closet door in stickynotes. I hope that this helps all you other space engineers out there.
