agreed!  i love its colors so much

but now after i just went to another zoo i cant help but feel like a horrible person because i just helped fund a literal animal prison. 

now that i realize it i also eat other animals, wear them on myself, and kill them off with fossil fuels and destroying trees and stuff

XD im an ok person but i need to do something to help the planet

Not sure if you knew but this is the type of bird that Kevin from the movie Up is based on.

If you feel that strongly you can go to nature reserves and parks instead of zoos. There are a lot of places that rehabilitate and release and they open themselves up to visitors to help fund it. Personally I don't think all zoos are terrible. Some definitely don't give the animals enough room to move around which is very sad, but others like the one near where I live give them so much room you might not see the animals at all when you visit. You could also think of it this way: a zoo makes seeing these animals much more accessible to people, and therefore more likely people will care about them since they have seen them in real life. It's much harder to convince people to care about things through indirect sources.

Ah yes, I loved Up!

I will take that in mind, i should definitely check those out instead <3.  I defnitely wanna fund too. 

Yeah, zoos do have their downsides and upsides, but what you said at the end is definitely true of me!

zoos didn't actually get me into them, but i want to visit them more now because i'm interested in the stuff

That's okay! I haven't been very good about it at all this entire year so far but I'm working on it.

And yeah, it's a strange mixture of good and bad. And of course the awful zoos make all zoos look bad.
