This show was too brilliant. The ending breaks my heart, especially when you figure out the meaning behind it. Here's my interpenetration of what would have happened if Wirt did end up taking the lantern. Also, artist tip! Trying to draw characters in other styles? Prepare for internal screaming. Yeah, I wanted to match the characters as closely as possible. I wanted to challenge myself by trying to match what the original character designs looked like. Haven't drawn Wirt and Greg before, so it was kinda rough on me.
Forget about their backgrounds. Not even gonna attempt that. It looks like it was done in watercolor.

I looked up fanart for this on Deviantart. Can't say there as much as I wanted to see. Not a lot of recent stuff around either. Kinda sad. Even though it's so short, this show is so much better than some of the ones that get more praise.
