Ouch! I see Seems to be a problem for you to find something. As for me, I have all the seasons and watch them episode by episode. Luckily, they're pretty decent, so I can show them to Ed.

I'm aware about the final episode though I have no idea what exactly happened Ok, I'll watch it someday. Now trying to carry Ed with Merlin, not only the Doctor or Sherlock. BBC means much

You must watch it; it wrecked me. Merlin is the only British show I watch. ... Well, watched. I really dislike Doctor Who and Sherlock.
They air them both on a local channel, and I change it every time those shows come on.

Oh, what a pity. I mean it's ending and your dislikes both As for me, I'm watching the 3rd episode fro the 4 series right now. Pretty close to the end. And as for Sherlock and Doctor, they're great! But if you don't like anything of sci-fi, you won't like the Doctor... but take a look at the last Xmas special episode about snowmen - it's pretty close to Merlin in a certain sense.
I watch the Game of Thrones too, btw.

Oh, I do like science fiction, but I really don't like that show. And honestly, I really hate Game of Thrones, as well. Haha I'm not much on the popular shows of our days.

Forgive me my curiosity but why not? An old human-like alien with two hearts travels through time and space and saves the Earth. But there's connection between Sherlock and Doctor, btw - same authors
That's why you don't like them both. And GoT too? Gosh!
Redbossfan, Stef, doesn't like the series because of violence but she loves the books. Well, books are definitely brilliant. And still I like the series 'cos they made this fairytale come true. It's cruel, sometimes too much cruel but as rich and thrilling as the real life is

Liekkii In reply to LanaVdV [2013-04-02 12:39:31 +0000 UTC]
The main reason is probably because I really dislike the English accent. And I don't find the show very futuristic at all. It feels more like a parody of something and it puts me off. And I do like Sherlock Holmes! I just don't like that show.
They air Game of Thrones here, too, and I find it really immoral. Also such themes about people going around other people's backs for more power, it's just the type of thing I hate. I know it's very realistic and that's just the thing I try to avoid. I'd like to see the better things in life and avoid the bad realities that are slapped against over faces day after day.

Aaah, and I got you, finally As for me, I like this british accent 'cos it's easier for me to understand it
Yep, the GoT series are more immoral than books. Well, in books such things are simple, Mr. Martin doesn't do a show of them. I just try to look through just like I don't see it. Don't concantrate on it. The only thing I don't like in Sherlock is that John has to prove they're not a gay couple. But after all I do like how they took everything in our times - looks very natural and normal And as for the Doctor, he travels to the past as well. The ancient Rome isn't futuristic for sure
I like the idea about his fellow travellers. They're simple people. Just imagine that one day someone rushes into your life and invites you to watch the Universe's birth or takes you for a walk to another planet. He's the last one, he feels very lonely and loves the humanity
And I started to watch the final series of Merlin... uh

Haha, I can't understand British accent at all! It's like a whole new language. I'm used to and speak in an American accent.
Yeah, I guess it sounds cool when you think about it that way and can be really educational if used in a proper way.. But... it's just not my thing. Haha, I just can't force something that I don't like on myself. I like childish shows. Like Merlin, and countless cartoons.
Complicated mysteries and thrillers tend to bore me.

Ha-ha, lucky you! 'Cos I speak with RUSSIAN accent
You go in the right direction, 'cos originally "Doctor Who" was an educational series It became entertaining much later. I watched even the classic series in black and white. And one pretty pleasant thing - the 1st air was on the 23nd of November - my b-day date
But in 1963. Very long ago, isn't it? And of course, you shouldn't force yourself to anything, there's a lot of wonderful things you'd like to watch and listen to

Haha, well, I've been around English since very little, so the accent sorta settled in.
I remember I've come across a few episodes. One time he was visiting and encouraging Van Gogh and in another there was Hitler. It could serve as great source of cultural trivia.
Oh I know the show is from very long time ago. I've never seen the other ones either though.

LanaVdV In reply to Liekkii [2013-04-10 08:39:04 +0000 UTC]
Heh, you watched wrong episodes. They're connected Especially the one about Hitler... gosh, if I happened to watch it separately, I'd find it mad and messy
I've finished watching Merlin Ok it's logic and supposed to end epic but still... such an emptyness inside

I just came across them coincidentally. The tv was on when we were eating dinner. I never really intended to watch at all, haha.
I KNOW. The ending wrecked me. I cried for hours. Seriously.

Ah, I see Luckily, I started watching from the 1st episode and showed an interesting one to Ed to catch his attention
But only few of them are really great and we can watch them many times.
I believe you. I was ready to cry too. Ok, I knew the story very well and still it's

Ahh, haha! That's always a good way to trick someone into liking something.
Yeah, it was pretty devistating. Btw, I heard they're planning to shoot movies for Merlin now! It's not yet been decided if it will be a sequel to the series or just a reboot, though.

And I'm glad that I managed to do it somehow. Let him now cherrish his lego Daleks and paper Tardis
Wow, that's a really good news! I guess they had some problems with the series and that's why this ending. The story itself is pretty long!

Liekkii In reply to LanaVdV [2013-04-17 18:23:19 +0000 UTC]
Hahaha, lego daleks.
I didn't even know such lego existed.
Yeah, but I think they planned to end the show with this season from the beginning. I guess we just didn't know and didn't expect it.
