Just exploring possibilities. Maybe this is what my Standard Cruiser developed into in a century.Related content

You seem to like very streamlined ships. Generally, though, there is no reason to streamline spacecraft unless they will sometimes enter an atmosphere, but maybe this one does. This ship appears aggressively feminine, like the lighthugger- curves and forward thrusting outlines tend to result in this. Is you Standard Cruiser a purely interplanetary design, or is this thing a starship?

I can think of all sorts of technical explanations why a spaceship should be streamlined, but the best reason would be aesthetics. In some far future when people can easily travel between planets, ships are most certainly going to look pretty. They can afford to do that as technology progresses. Just like today, ships, planes, cars, all try to look as nice as possible, or, try to look as efficient as possible rather than just be efficient. You can see it even in military design.
I imagine this would be capable of travelling between stars, if those previous ones were just for our solar system.
