A concept sheet for my take on the celtic serpent of darkness, Crom Cruach!Honestly have never heard of Cruach until I saw the amazing movie "The Secret of Kells" and seeing their take had me hooked on the lore. Based some of the lore around the one set up by the film to the extent of his eye holding some supernatural effects, although still unsure of what it is I'll have the eye do....
Also decided to equip him with the option of spewing a cloud of total darkness. Along with that he'd change himself to that of the head on the bottom right of the sheet to make himself nearly invisible (although doubtful I'll leave the white glow, just thought it looked cool lol). May need to whip up a sheet showing this ability in more detail in the future.
Still a lot of half finished ideas running around in my head about this guy, but since I spent far too long messing around with him as it is, he's done for now!

Thanks! Yeah, I figured with an ancient deity like Cruach that giving him a creepy elderly look would work well. Tried a few different ones, but that's the one that came out the best.

Well, it worked x3 He definitely looks creepy. Also kind of reminds me in a passing sort of way of the Moorwens from Outlander. Just with the bioluminescence you have going on there.

I saw that movie recently too as a suggestion by . The entire Crom Cruach scene was very artistically impressive. Your rendition is very appealing as well since the creature is supposed to be a nasty thing. Well done.

Oh yeah, a great movie with a crazy different art style! I'm just happy it got me to look more into Crom Cruach lore, since before than I'd never heard of him, and I'm a sucker for mythology
