So happy I could finish this in time for a Halloween posting, it's just so fitting for him haha~

This is just an OC I made for fun, perhaps more info on him and his kind later. I'm just calling them hex cats for now.

EDIT: Still trying to find a fitting name for his species but here are some points about them that have been determined for now:

• they are normally seen either with one eye open or with both closed. This is a defense mechanism to deter people from provoking them as having a hexcat look directly at someone with both eyes could curse them with unimaginable pain, suffering, or simply death. Closed eyes are largely a bluff, as once a cat curses someone it takes around one year for them to restore that ability
• hexcats cannot curse others of their kind or themselves
• their whiskers are sensitive to their surroundings and are often used in place of relying on their eyesight to see around them
• they do not initially have the power to curse others with a direct gaze, it is something that awakens in them after a profound change in their mental state. Hexcats who have experienced terrible traumatic events acquire cursed eyes while others who reach personal enlightenment attain a sight that can heal or bring great luck to others. Attaining their sight can also unlock other extraordinary abilities within them, such as teleportation, super speed, transformation, invisibility, levitation and illusion casting. It takes an incredibly powerful individual to have several at once and to master them
• Hexcats come in various colors but their white, mask-like colorations on their faces is consistent to all of them
• their irises have many layers that can fan out like ripples in a pond when they are flexed to reveal their pupils, or retract back toward the pupil. Their pupils behave like a regular cat's

There aren't too many details specifically about Spades that I have yet, though it's for certain that he's insane and plays an important role in my circus idea. I have the backstory on that but I'll just leave it at that for now~
