Nimbus the Melancholy Bug

Ah, Nimbus, he's rather new. Inspired by a poem I read around 7 months ago.
Melancholy bugs aren't usually common on Mobius, but sometimes they are. For a melancholy bug to be born, a god must cry. Then it falls from the clouds and will always land in water, even if it's in a desert. If there is no water around, a lake will pop up below it as the bug falls. Fourty could be born in a week, or none for a millenia. There is absolutely no way of knowing when one will be born. They haven't got any idea why they are even born though. So they all assume it's just to grieve for the world, because willingly or not they cry every day. Another thing, they are immortal. They can't die, period. Even if you chopped them open and ripped them until they were in 100 different pieces, though they'd feel all the agonizing pain, they'd still not be dead. Because they are a part of a god's sorrow. Eventually they'll heal somehow no matter what. They could only die one way. If they find love and be loved back then they take the age of their love and die at the same time. Why? Because a melancholy bug usually lives a bad enough life, to have to outlive your love would be completely cruel and heartless. If any kids are born they recieve no genetics from the melancholy bug, just the other parent. Why? Who knows.
In other words, they're pretty much cursed things.

Okay, Nimbus is around 6 centuries old but, takes the looks and abilities of 26 years, and almost was able to escape the life of a melancholy bug. Yup, there was this deer named Cherry who grew fruits to sell and eat. She found him wandering around her trees when she got back to her house and told him to go home, he left until she went in the house, then lived around the trees for food. Some other stuff comes after but I haven't developed a gushy love story for it yet. So one day Nimbus wants to try proposing and almost does but apparently she had an angry ex-. So, the jerk put lead pieces into a piece of fruit and Nimus ate it, clueless bug. He fell on the ground and started spazzing out because lead's poisonous. So Cherry ran in and tryed to give him the mouth-to-mouth, (zomg) , she sucked up lead by accident and died. Nimbus was okay after an hour and got conscious again. Then he bawled his little tear-shaped eyes out. Apparently she didn't completely 'love' him yet. So, he's been all alone in the hills and mountains eating plants and stuff ever since. He wears her scarf to remember her, and keep warm.

This is the part where someone wants to hug Nimbus.
So.... What's the coolest thing about Nimbus? He's got fuzzy feet!
