Description
These large switchers were alway in MF&SC yards and/or assisting in MOW duties. They were built in 1901 by NYCLW, and featured the running board apperance that would later become popular on the famous M4 type.(Inspired South African Railways S1 0-8-0)

I see the South African inspiration! Those drivers look a little tall for a switcher, but then again it wouldn't hurt to have a turn of speed.

very nice, stable looking creature! I must say her firebox looks a bit short for her type/duties, it could be well over the second to last driver!

Why do I get the feeling that this thing can crack down the middle? Reminds me of the 0-10-2 locos of the Union.
