I am a little in doubt as to the glasses. I would probably prefer glassy glasses, but I had to finish the picture yesterday, so I couldn't experiment.

It was the lighting. Lit by a single lamp and a HDRI sky-globe with an ambient value of 30
I simply couldn't get the graining in the backgrounfd - like the wall - to disappear.

Don't excactly know your render-engine, but in Cycles this can be trouble...
My problem wasn't the rendering but the sheer number ofΒ calculation of the hair strands even before the rendering...
