Description
Those who know me will be very very shocked (not) when I say I collect pentagrams. I've had that idea for quite a while now, but.... well, only more recently did I actually start gathering some. The collection is still in its initial stage because, sadly, I still cannot afford to collect more actively. No worries though. I am patient. In this shot they happen to be arranged in order of attainment. Also, every one has its own story.
Right -> left (because I have to be wrong side first, always):
1) The simplest circled design possible. This is the very first pentagram I ever got, it was a gift from one of my best friends many many centuries ago.
2) Another simple circled pentagram with points crossing the circle. This one I designed myself, as its special feature is that the circle diameter and beam thickness were values I worked out from the numbers 13 and 666. Yes, I was a math nerd back then. It was made as a single instance so it is unique and most frankly it means the world to me.
3) Double circled pentagram. I actually bought it recently, but it's a duplicate of another I had 2 years ago, which is why it stands so early in the row. The first one I bought from a local legendary metal store by the time it passed into history, but I later gave it to a close friend of mine as a spontaneous gift. Ever since I'd been looking for another copy and when I saw it on an online store I naturally got it again.
4) The classical Sign of the Baphomet, the original symbol of the LaVeyan Satanists. I am not LaVeyan, yet I gotta love the design.... with a little remark, but I still love it. I first saw this pentagram the day (or more precisely the night) I first met one very close Satanist friend of mine. It turned out that a friend of his is laser-cutting those. So I instantly got myself one. This on the photo is actually my second one. The first one I gave as a gift to my best friend.
5) The Dimmu Borgir pentagram, the one and only from the never-ever-matched masterpiece "Death Cult Armageddon" album. I love this. Both the album and the pentagram. I saw it in a store. I had to have it. Period.
This collection is naturally going to constantly grow. Some pentagrams come and go but I tend to keep / find a duplicate of those I give away. I just get attached to them and miss them when they are gone.
Some rules apply to any pentagrams I collect, two are mandatory:
1. They MUST BE point-down, i.e. inverted. No exceptions.
2. They CANNOT BE combined with a cross, be it even an inverted one.
Apart from that, they can be of any type, kind, design, color, material, size etc. possible. They can be pendants or not (I really wish to add a couple of rings I've seen), aaaand.... also, there is no rule for the circle: I'm neither strictly for nor strictly against a circle, unlike many other people. Although I prefer circled designs, any variation is ok with me.
Last but not least. I've said this before and I will say it again: there can never be enough pentagrams XD

I know right! I ordered myself a GORGEOUS Baphomet pentagram for the collection back in January from the USA, but it never arrived. Fucking US posts are just.... *spits fire in their general direction*

Haha!
Ugh, I hear that and I live here. Suffice to say, our system isn't always the best.
However, when I have sent stuff overseas, everyone got their stuff, but who knows, ugh, I hear ya.

Yeah, and they say our posts are shit.... actually they seem pretty good to my observations. I've heard the British are among the worst around.... stuff keeps disappearing because apparently they steal it

Just an FYI, Those are called Inverted Pentagrams as most are related to Satanic culture.

To be honest, I'm shocked you don't have more than that. XD
Besides the one I originally had and the one you sent me I actually have two more. Yours was the last I got. The other two are both made of wood, although one doesn't have a circle at all but more like a square. I could get pictures later if you're interested.

I'm a poor dragon with a very small hoard (if we don't count the gem collection I showed you XD ) I am a conquerer at heart though, so beware ye, owners of pentagrams I do not yet possess!
Of course I'm interested! What kind of a question is that :3

what about things can could be worn either way? i saw a leather bracelet with red penagrams all along it, it could be worn either way up.
funnily enough, for a "goth shop" every necklace or ear ring or ANYTHING that could only be worn one way up had the pentagram the wrong way round lol.
Also, what's wrong with Inverted crosses?

NO exceptions. Those that could theoretically be worn either way are, for me, inverted pentagrams, pure and simple. They cannot be worn either way.... yeah XD
-.- (I figure that) It's because goths hate to be mistaken for Satanists. I don't know what they believe.... that selling Satanic symbols will gain them bad reputation? Heh. On the other hand, note that a lot of goths tend to also wear crosses the wrong side up, so....
Nothing. I actually started to like them. It's just.... I really hate crosses in general and because of that I still get that bad feeling in my stomach when I see a pentagram stuck on an inverted cross.... It just seems wrong to me. Although some designs are actually good.
