Well, she had quite a big problem to deal with, but ... well ... on one hoof, I feel like going sergeant Hartmann on her and, on the other hoof, not having a present father took a big toll on her.
She needs a fatherly figure. A male mentor. But who could ?

Yeah, I worded that weirdly. Basically, Blueblood and Amethyst Star had a quick fling and Blueblood left soon afterwards. Amethyst decided to keep the baby that was conceived, and that's how Alexandrite came to be. The Ambrosia I was talking about is , Blueblood's other child that was born later down the road, whom Alexa doesn't know about.
Amethyst had chosen not to tell Alexa much about her father, and had later gotten together with Comet Tail and eventually had two foals. She hoped it would help Alexa and all, but Alexa didn't really bond with Comet nor her little siblings all that much, so she still feels like she doesn't really have a father figure in her life
