Woohoo, Pokémon fanart! 8D~~~ *watches as the people that watch her for Pokémon fanart go crazy*Anyway, this was done for the Pokémon Card project over at [link] . I have no idea how I came to this idea because this has been sitting on my HDD for ages now
I showed this to ~En-Cu-Kou and he said he'd really like to see this finished, so I dug it up and finished it D:So here you go. A generic Lapras with The Blush™ in generic water swimming to some generic somewhere. D:

Very interesting.
I think I would suggest trying a few texturing techniques to get more detail on the skin and shell. Perhaps also go a little more dramatic on the shading. Brighter whites and darker shadows to make it pop. And a darker shadow under the shell to make it stand out a bit more wouldn't be amiss.
I'd also add a little more detail to the water, and maybe some caustic light ripples over the critter, to give the overall picture a more watery look.

Very pretty! I always figured Lapras to be deep divers, just because most larger real animals are deep swimmers, so the emptiness of the background really gives a nice effect.

Thanks! ^^ Well I have always thought that Lapras just enjoy swimming on the surface, absorbing the sun rays and so on, but if they need, they can dive real deep ... o_o;

Well maybe some are and some arent! You could tell from the colour of their skin, cause some are really light and some are really dark~

How cute! I really like the coloring job (both the colors chosen and coloring style). It really looks like an underwater scene! It's a little odd that Lapras is looking at us rather than the ocean floor, and she seems to be frowning (despite the blush)! Still, really nice. What cute little flippers!
