Not many humanized characters are depicted as black people (I prefer to say it) even Asian people such as the Japanese, I have seen some humanized EVE as a black lady.

I have thought of Plankton as black person because the antenna reminded me of dreadlocks and I have a black OC with the similar style.

usually when I see humanized versions of SpongeBob character, they usually drawn in Anime style.

I think it's because Anime is some way a complicated cartoon style and people want to draw it especially 13 year olds because it makes them artistic.

I can't actually draw people too well and I'm trying to work on a new style.

Do you notice Plankton's hair is based on his antennas, Mr Krabs hair is similar to his back, Sandy's hair is similar to her tail?

Plankton kinda looks like Riley from the cartoon and comic, "The Boondocks". I think I like your Sandy better than mine. Also, cool that you included Gary.

I'm actually drawing the main cast for Yosem Kipper (mainly the characters that are focused) as fish and I'm planning to them as humans in that style. I still progressing it as got work to do.

Plankton to me looks like Orlando Bloom, the others, sandy looks like Mike from Mike, Lu and Og and SpongeBob looks like a 10 year old and Gary looks like African Art.

Actually, Spongebob kind of looks like the awkward 14 year old mathlete all the bigger kids beat up. Plankon DOES look like Orlando, now that you mention it.
