If you look in my scraps, there's a photo of me taken back in 1982. You can see what I used to look like, anyway.

WOAH GIRLIE! This is amazing! I love how tangible it is. Looks like a close up photograph of some sort of electronics piece -- the insides of it perhapse. I love the geometric repititon throughout, the various sizes of said shapes. The colors are wonderful, hues of contrasting light and dark just draw you in. Tangible. Thats the word I keep drifting back to. I could reach out and touch cold steel. This is supurb!

Im gonna have to check out that umf!

Whoa, girlie, you give great comment! Thanks for the detailed words and the kudos and the fav!

As far as the umf goes, if you read some of my replies, you'll see just how much searching through the coloring formulae it took to find good shapes. I love that kind of work, though, so I think of it as fun.

LaPurr In reply to unHnu [2006-09-20 07:42:23 +0000 UTC]

The thing is, I explored probably a full third of the coloring formulae to find usable shapes and patterns. I saved about 100 layers of shapes to play with and then deleted them one by one after I found the basic idea I wanted to use. I looked at the layers in all the different merge modes to determine which would really work. I have strange masking shapes and different transfer functions and density settings. This was a serious safari into UF and I had great fun doing this from start to finish.
