Thanks!
There are a lot of greyscale fractals around.

I loved this the first time I saw it but couldn't think of what to write about it. I've never seen a greyscale piece that's quite as rich and varied as this; you quite simply nailed the assignment Someone in the comments mentioned horses and riders kitted out for battle; I agree, although I'd rather think parade than battle: white and grey stallions, ribbons in their manes, prancing and cavorting -- lovely stuff!

What an incredibly generous and lovely comment! Thank you very much.
After that, a fav is just icing on the cake. Thanks for that, as well.

How does Janet Parke know? .. does she count them?
I really like this .. and the other one too .. I've rarely subscribed to the B+W photographer's argument, that B+W is just as, or more powerful, than color in nature photography (I live in a color world)
but this is superbly powerful

Janet imports our homework for this assignment into an editing program and checks it with a histogram...really. As for the counting...your guess is as good as mine.
Thanks for taking a look at my homework and for the kudos. I appreciate the comment.

Thank you very much, Mary! I'm really happy that you like this homework image, as it's a difficult assignment for me: I think I'm overly dependent upon color sometimes.

You are most welcome. I am really dependent on color too. You did a fantastic job on this one in showing great contrast and detail without color.

To me this one has Janet-Parke-Quality. It's meant as one of the highest compliments I can do, sweetie, so I hope you'll forgive these comparison. It's one of the most impressive b&w fracs I've seen so far. Everything is right here, and not only this, it's a beauty in it's shapes and composition, I like the dramatic in it.

Somehow knight and horse combined, armoured and charging to battle, mapping the conquered territory. An attempt with words to evoke (piss-poorly) what the picture so adroitly says

I saw this as being armored as well, so your comment perfectly fits how I viewed it. Thanks muchly for the wonderful comment...as usual.
