I love the way Basil says RRRATIGAN. He says it like that a few more times later on too, I think.

I hadn't noticed he did it again! Yeah I love it...actually that whole scene kicks butt in my opinion, just the way Basil is so incredibly intense, getting in Dawson and Olivias' faces, voice barely containing the passion and desire to see Ratigan behind bars. I like his shadow on the wall, the portrait of Ratigan, also that scene, I believe, marks one of the first times Basil refers to Dawson by name, as opposed to "Doctor." Since Dawson only casually introduced his name, to me it shows that Basil is quite observant and right away willing to call Dawson by name rather than title.

Also...I love this...the way Dawson says, "Amazing," and Basil says, "Actually...it's elementary, my dear Dawson," and you can see in Bas's eyes the thought, "Holy...oh man, I got a sidekick now, just like my hero! So kewl!" Only not exactly like that.

Um...I like this movie?

Can you imagine Basil actually saying "kewl"? I bet his maid would slap him upside the mouth for his usage of hip, current slang. THIS IS THE 1800'S BASIL. And then Ratigan would try to use hip new slang because Basil's doing it and then next thing you know they'd be acting like wiggers and trying to outdo each other as far as who's most hip and current.
