Description Acrylic painting based on a picture of Edgar Allen Poe. I really like how this came out even though it is inexact.

Comments welcome.

I freaking love Poe. This looks like it belongs in a museum or something.

Yes. I think this is the best of the batch. And the abstract background on this is really complimentary too.

A lot of what I do is like that. I can't admit it to the people who pay me to do things, but, seriously; they say: "I need something like this," and I sit down and have no freakin' idea what I'm going to do until THERE IT IS! and sometimes people love it, and other times I need to tweak, but, really. I only know one way to work.

thanks for the feedback Louis! Yeah I,m a member of both and they do look awesome on first impression. And they are, but its too much really for me to handle these 3 sites. I plan to wittle it down gradually to one site so I can do (just one) justice to it and myself. It'll be hard to decide which one to settle for. Haven't had any luck saleswise on any! But funnily enough I did get my first sale on redbubble today! Nothing to shout about, just sold a greeting card of a drawing of Henry Miller, weird eh! lol. Thanks for your opinion again Louis, I'll keep you updated!

hi Louis, just add my real name Rob Delves, in the search box on the sites.
I aint got many pictures on FAA. but there's quite a lot on redbubble,
although you've probably seen some of them before, on DA.

Okay Rob. I think fineartamerica is the more impressive site. But there is something about redbubble that is very clean and simple. Hard to choose...but I think I prefer FAA. In either case, I don't know how I would have found your art without searching on your name. Seems like making sales would be hard in either case.

I like the way FAA lists your name right under the work rather than displaying it when you scroll over the piece like on RB.

Not great feedback really. If I think of something else I will let you know but if I had to choose for myself I would pick FAA.

Luis, thats great feedback, thanks pal. Well FAA is apparentley the biggest and yeah, talk about needle in a haystack! RB, second largest but not better in getting noticed.
I think you have to sell your soul to the devil;- enter every contest, join every group, comment+fave everyone's work, join facebook, twitter etc. etc.
It's hard enough to sell prints, so I've given up on ever selling any originals! lol
As you say it's hard to choose between those two. Right now FAA is a nose in front. But I'll see the year out before deciding, it could be on the toss of a coin in the end! I'll stay on DA whatever because I'm a loyalist? lol Thanks again. Rob.
