interesting symbolism though. they look sad, and those chains represent their slavery to whoever is using them to do their bidding and sing what they want. they're grey because they have no life of their own--they depend on those using them to reinterpret their lives every time they sing.
yet the paradox of the vocaloid is that the chains are also supporting them. without someone using them they wouldn't even have the semblance of life they do.
