Then I have a speculation.If Heller consumed alex in the end after alex consumed his own remaining minions,it could mean that alex conciderd the posibility of defeat and the fact that he cannot consume heller without weakening heller first, which he could not,and then he thought that if he consumed his minions he would have 2 options:defeat heller or beconsumed by heller and thus obtaininng the opretunity to consume Heller from within with the help of the combined wills of his monions maybe even including the rest of the minions heller consumed so far.
The hint for that is when alex mercer said something like "He will experiance what i can do to his daughter FIRST HAND!" he might have meant that he might consume heller from within (something he could nt do externaly)and killing Hellr's daughter using her own father's hand (grousome revenge)another hint for that is when Mercer is about to "DIE" or "CONSUMED" by Heller he welcomes heller in a smirking tone(kind of suspisious right?,NOT for angry Heller it isn't!) "Welcome to thtop of the food chain"(Yeah right...IT A TRAP!)so all the above sidjests that it was all pland out all along...
PS:Heller should be careful what he eats...it just might be avirus!

I really hope there will be another game with THIS story! Your idea is epic... and it seems possible
Everybody loves Alex, I'm sure Prototype 3 would be a bestseller
