What does it mean for you to be an artist?"The sound of the branches breaking under your feet
The smell of the falling and burning leaves
The bitterness of winter

They say that to some degree, artists resemble art they create. I believe that it is so because art reflects who we are inside, it is a part of our soul, our inner self, our thoughts, dreams, fears, memories, pains and joys. It is the core of our art and it makes it special. I love browsing various styles, especially those unique ones that tell me the individual stories of the artist behind the picture.
So hey, if you are reading these words, go and create. Create art for us to appreciate, tell us your story. Make this world more magical by sharing it with us And thank you for being here to see mine

What it means to be an artist...
I feel like the definition of being an artist is creating something that expresses different feelings from unique to simple. Being an artist means that you have to accept whatever that comes in your way, whether it is negative or positive. Accepting different opinions as tips to help future art is also important.

Being an artist is like creating other versions of yourself: your art is coming from what you feel, from your experiences. It's showing everyone your way of thinking, how you see the world, life. And they sometimes can see themselves in what you create, feels emotion, learn.
Being an artist is creating a new world for everyone, but yourself first.

Beeing an artist means to me to inspire and motivate others, to share a piece of my mind with the world. Cause art is more than just skills of a person. It's a part of who they are, of their memories, wishes and thoughts they share with you through the artwork. So being an artist is about to touch someone and tell them about whatever you want to say without words.

Drawing and painting, making art is perhaps the most subtle way of getting your thoughts to be heard, your point of view to be seen, and your ideas shared. People sometimes don't even realise that art can change how they think about something, but it can. Being an artist is probably the most wonderful thing you can be.
I like to make people happy through art, or keep sad drawings to remind be what I don't want. Art is very powerful, and many don't realise it, but it can change your whole way of thinking, especially the longer or more often they see it. If a piece of art has things in it that are beyond the norm, people might notice, and look for other things like it in reality, and notice patterns or irregularities that might have been missed otherwise. People found drawings of modern things, but in ancient civilizations. That makes you think.

Being an artist is when you express yourself, showing your feelings on the page and working through hard times, lets say if my friends are fighting, I would usually draw a picture of two people holding hands and tears in their eyes as they work through their problems together.

I'm not at artist yet, still drawing for me it's terapeutic I find a lot of peace by focusing on the single task of making everything well proportioned and making the correct application of lights and shadows. It gives me a good feeling when I do it

The first thing that popped into my head in what it means to be an artist is that making art is constantly on an artist's mind. The desire to pick up a pencil and just doodle!(or whatever art form it may be, whether it be : dancing, singing, etc) It is like a drug to us, frustrating at times but calming other times and we can not get enough. Sometimes, the first thing I personally think of when I wake up is "I WANT TO DRAW. or I WANT TO PAINT." Even if an artist hasn't created ART in a couple months for whatever reason, they will always find a way back to creating art if they love it. There is something in our minds and it tells us to "ART."
