To answer your poll question attached to this picture : I don't think anyone needs a darker take on fairy tales. The versions we've grown up with in our time have been softened for mass consumption. If you read the original versions they are dark as pitch and as grim as a meeting with the Reaper.

I forgot to comment on your poll, for which I am sorry. The Fairy Tales of my youth were the original Grimm stories translated without editing into English. The Disney style stories are nice, but I do prefer a bit more edge in my fantasy. Usually. Variety is also nice.
