Lin, Ellie and Simon from my manga, Takes Two: [link]This started off as fluff but has now taken on some greater significance. The picture's a photo - which one of these three has sent to one of the others with the message "don't you forget about me". Who sent it to whom..? The speculation's on!
(Yeah, I was listening to Simple Minds while I drew this. Pffft.)

*smiles* It is just such a pleasure to read your story - the characters are original and interesting, the story has many moments that *could* be clichΓ©, but aren't ... so I love to dig deeper into the whole thing. Thank you for sharing such a great thing

That's exactly right. I love going part of the way with a storyline or character that's cliched and then giving it a twist so it isn't cliched. Part of stories is playing with what the reader/audience expects. Creating moments that appear to be cliched and then suddenly going another way is a great storytelling technique, I think, and one I am very fond of!

This is so sweet. I love this image, it makes me want to just hug them! It is like I got a post card from them and I miss them. As silly as it sounds its like I want to cry when I see this! Like I wish I was there when they were enjoying themselves. The colors are so beautiful and rich. YOu really did an amazing job on this. One of my favorite pieces so far
