Hmmm..all that lurks within the human soul. That is what comes to my mind when I see this.

very very nice. Great linework, great rhythm/direction with the spikes. You have a great grasp of anatomy, human and otherwise... instant favorite.

hmm this pose is quite interesting,I've seen it alot in your work.I've read before that it symbolizes a connection with the metaphysical dimension, but from your pic i feel it represents deep thinking and a state of depression.
what inspires you to draw such conepts??????

i have som eproblems...i cant draw real references...normaly just photos...and when i doe i must draw using only my right eye..because i get ocnfuse and make disporpotional drawings!
you works seems like mine..surreal and expressive..but alot more realist!
how much time you expend on those?

i work from photos sometimes too, nothing wrong with that...
the time for a sketch varies usually from 10 minutes to a few hours...paintings take a lot longer...

Sweeeeeet. Oh, the many claw-things...how I love them. I would have liked it better without the snake-beast, it makes it seem too...familiar...but that's just my opinion. Work of awesome otherwise

many thanks! you know, i agree...i'm working on a variation of this now in which there are animal elements, but those are far less coherent and recognizable...this was just a sketch for the initial idea.

somehow, this has a very early 18th century feel to it. Your touch is like a naturalist's, full of detail, volume, careful observation.

it's great how people see things differently.... to me it looks like he's in a fetal position and hiding from the 'monsters', like a child would hide under his bed covers and hope they just go away
great sketch... even without the fluffy bunny

Interesting that many of the comments are about the monster coming out of his back.
My first thought was that the guy is in deep thought, ignoring all of the background noise.
