I love your tribute/celebration of Alice in Wonderland. The white rabbit is probably one of my favorite characters. Nicely Done! What's your favorite adaptation of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland? I'm guessing the new one, right?

has anyone ever mentioned anything about this remotely reminding them of the white rabbit from harvey? especially since there is a portrait done of the rabbit (of course, the major difference is harvey is accompanied by the main character) i'm not trying to defer from the greatness of this piece, however. I think it's beautiful and magnificent. <3 I love it

thank you! I work in multiple thin layers, and usually with a gel medium.

Is gel medium the same as a retarder or a dry-blend medium?

Ohh, I do love the look in his eye's in this one. It's just so intense! Not only that but I like the specific shade of blue in this background. Navy blue?
Also, if you don't mind me asking... but do the rabbits in your gallery represent something specific? I just ask this because they seem to be a prominent element in your gallery.

background: mars black, ultramarine blue and mica flake gun steel.
to answer your question: Rabbits are my friends. symbolism is secondary at this point, i just enjoy painting people I love.

How neat. The hair detail is amazing and I love the vintage frame. He looks like he should be on the wall in a Victorian home.
