ive been really into wof lately but like, only through ocs. so here are some of my recent ones! i might tweak their designs but still

shoreline (seawing/mudwing hybrid) - her mother had an affair with a mudwing, but then tried to hide the evidence by abandoning the eggs lest it ruin her chance to rise in society. but a storm swept the eggs away -- one to the seawings (shoreline), and one to the mudwings. shoreline was raised as an orphan but always kind of ostracized for looking a little funny. she's angry and grumpy but generally a good person. her only real friend is abyss, who she hung out with on her frequent trips up onto the shoreline (heh). after learning the truth and having a confrontation with her mother, she runs away from the seawing kingdom.

delta (seawing/mudwing) shoreline's brother, the egg that got swept to the mudwings. he was taken in by some mudwings who already had a clutch of eggs, and ended up being the bigwing of the clutch by virtue of hatcing a little earlier. his sibs all love him but his clearly Not Quite Mudwingness leads to some people being kind of skeptical of him. he's friendly and charming but don't let that fool you. he has Plans.

frosbite (icewing) - she was born with a condition where her internal body temperature just isn't right. her scales are still cold resistant but her skin isn't, which leads to lots of scars from frostbite (yeah her name is kind of cruel) from the small spaces between her scales. that's what all those black "markings" are. she has no frostbreath. even though she's a great fighter she's overlooked because of how much she struggles to cope in icy weather. eventually her and her childhood friend/rival (not pictured) are sent as guards to a dignitary visiting the mudwings, and are basically considered expendable.

abyss (nightwing/rainwing/icewing/seawing) - yeah she is a mess of a hybrid. any white/silvery scales she has can glow, she's got icewing serrated claws, and she can camoflauge practically invisible or change color in grayscale, but that's it. she kind of grew up on her own until shoreline & delta's mom found her and decided she'd make a GREAT spy and assassin, and so groomed her to do so. her only real friend was shoreline, though she didn't know abyss was working for her estranged mother. she's pretty nice for an assassin.
